COVID-19, Breastfeeding and you
Over the several months we have watched as this pandemic has occupied all facets of our lives. What does this COVID-19 outbreak mean for breastfeeding, for families, and the way we support families?
Some things will change – for now, we are offering visits at our brand new office in The Village of Cross Keys. This office is ready for you with surfaces that are wiped between every visit, air purifiers running at a level to circulate the air in the office every 15 minutes, and a requirement of proper fitting masks. We complete as much as we can from 6ft away and make sure that we space appointments out so that there is plenty of time for the air to clean between appointments.
We are also adding a LOT of virtual services. Join us for Breastfeeding Support Group every Wednesday morning and our new Parents Group on Thursdays, live on Zoom, or our Pumps and Bottlefeeding Class, or even our Prenatal Breastfeeding Class. As always, we are offering video breastfeeding consultations for those who would prefer that option.
Some things will stay the same – We still will make sure to wash our hands, thoroughly with soap, multiple times at each in person visit. We will continue to use our medical grade cleaning wipes to clean off our scales, phones, iPads, etc. We will wear gloves when touching you or your baby.
As always, we are here for you, to support you and your family in this amazing time of change. Our email and our phones are open to you. We are looking forward to the day when we can safely offer in-home support again.
